Martin Konvalinka

After finishing his studies on gymnasium of Most in 1980, Martin Konvalinka moved to Prague, where he studied mathematics on Charles University. During his studies, he learned privately classical vocal technique. He absolved many courses, in Czech Republic and abroad, focused on interpretation of old music. In 1983 he co-founded vocal ensemble Vagantes Prague, focused on renaissance and baroque vocal music. From 1994, he is leader of this ensemble, who revived for performances many of compositions, which were recorded by Czech Radio and published on CD's. Martin Konvalinka is also concerned with digitalization of music repositories in projects Manuscriptorium and Codex Strahoviensis.
