Vojtěch Jouza

Vojtěch Jouza

Vojtěch Jouza studied oboe at the Prague Conservatory in the class of F. X. Thuri, and later at the Academy of Performing Arts in the class of J. Mihule; at the same school he studied conducting, too. In the years 1989-1991 he was a solo English horn player in the Prague Symphony Orchestra; since 1992 he has been an oboist in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. He has been deeply devoted to chamber music. He is an artistic leader, conductor and oboist of the Prague Baroque Ensemble which he established in 1982. In 1995 Vojtěch Jouza established a chamber choir En Arché of which he is the choirmaster and conductor and since 2009 he is the choirmaster of the choir Česká Píseň, too. As the conductor he co-operated with prestigious orchestras (Czech Philharmonics, Prague Chamber Philharmonics etc.). He regularly gives concerts in Japan with Prague Baroque Ensemble.
