In 2013 Karolína Janů completed her Master´s university degree at Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague as a student of Professor Jana Jonášová. Currently she is finishing Master´s studies under the renowned Met Opera soloist Professor Roberta Alexander in the Classical Music Academy at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam. In 2009 she followed masterclasses with Professor KS Eva Marton in the “Internationale Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Budapest”. Further she followed classes with Alexander Oliver, Marina Rebeka, Lynne Dawson or Gerda van Zelm. In 2008 she won the second prize of the “Dušek Youth Singing Competition” of the Czech Mozart Society. Her professional concert engagements involve orchestras like Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, West-Bohemian symphony orchestra or the Prague Chamber Orchestra, the old music ensembles Barocco sempre giovane, Antiquarius Consort Praga, Vivaldi orchestra Praga or L’Arco Sonoro as well as vocal ensembles Cappella Amsterdam and Vocaal Ensemble Coqu. She also regularly performs at international music festivals in the Czech Republic, such as the International Music Festival Czech Touches of Music or the Dvořák Festival.
