Verner Jan

Born in Prague in 1964, he studied trumpet at the Prague Conservatory under Professor Josef Svejkovský. In 1984, he won the Conservatories’ Competition in Teplice. He has performed in many European countries, including Spain, Italy, Germany, and France, as well as in Japan. He is currently a member of Castle Guard Fanfare Orchestra, representing the President of the Czech Republic at official ceremonial events. He has made recordings for Czech Radio and Czech Television and is a member of the Verner Collegium ensemble. He most frequently performs with organists Linda Sítková and Vladimír Roubal. He also takes part in solemn liturgical services at the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary at Strahov and at St. Vitus Cathedral.
