Marie Zahrádková (organist) attended the Music Conservatory in Prague, graduated at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under the guidance of Prof. Jaroslav Tuma and studied at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart with Prof. Jürgen Essl. She also studied organ improvisation with Prof. Pavel Černý in Prag. She is holder of many awards from different organ competitions and repeatedly won prices for improvisation at organ competitions. In 2012 she won the first price at the International Organ Joseph-Gabler Competition in Ochsenhausen, the first price in 2014 Lions-Club improvisation Competition in Stuttgart and the first price at the Bohuslav Martinu Competition for harpsichord in Prague. She is organ teacher at the Music Conservatory in Budweis. She regulary performes in Czech Republic and abroad as a soloist and also colaborates often with vocal-instrumental ensembles such as SWR Orchestra.
